ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville men's soccer team will travel to take on Radford on Wednesday, with the start time moved up to 2 p.m. and the contest moved to RU's artificial turf intermural field due to the field at Cupp Stadium being deemed unplayable due to torrential rain that has fallen over the past few days. Because of the location change, Asheville fans planning to make the trip should note the match is now closed to the public.

-Goalkeeper Zak Davis ranks second in the nation in saves per game (6.86) and is fourth in total saves (48).
-Radford has won the last three meetings between the two teams, including a 1-0 victory in Asheville last season.

QUOTABLES
“Another very good opponent in Radford. They obviously are starting off the season very strong (6-1-1) and pose difficulty for us. We are going to have to have consistent midfield play and offer more up front than we did against High Point. I think there are times when we play a very attractive brand of football but we are going to look to be more goal dangerous. Tomorrow is another great opportunity to continue our process against a talented team and it should be a good matchup. Excited to be able to get the game in; the time change is a bit of a challenge for our guys but the safety of the student-athlete is paramount. Looking forward to taking our next step in the Big South Conference. We were a little disappointed in our ending against High Point so we will look to take strides against Radford tomorrow.” - Head Coach Mathes Mennell
UP NEXT
-Following Wednesday's match, Bulldogs will take on Big South foes Radford (Sept. 30) and Gardner-Webb (Oct. 3), and also will play regional rival Appalachian State (Oct. 6) before returning home to face Coastal Carolina on October 10.
