Collichio and Heisner Named Big South Runners of the Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A pair of UNC Asheville cross country runners have been honored for their efforts last weekend, as Dominic Collichio and Sarah Heisner have been named the Big South Conference's men's and women's runners of the week.
The honors come after both Bulldog teams turned in strong showings Saturday morning at their UNC Asheville Invitational meet, with the women's squad finishing first overall and the men grabbing second place.
Heisner led the Asheville women with a time of 18:38.30 and finished second overall in the women's race, while Collichio's time of 25:32.66 paced the Bulldog men as he finished third in the men's race.
Collichio has now finished third overall in both of Asheville's meets this fall, while Heisner's second place finish on Saturday was her second top-10 finish of the 2015 season.
Collichio, Heisner and the rest of the Asheville men's and women's cross country teams are off this weekend as they prepare to run at the Upstate Invitational/Big South Preview race on October 3 in Spartanburg.
