ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville volleyball team travels to Charleston for three matches at The Citadel Tournament, the Buldogs' final tune up before Big South Conference play starts next weekend.
NOTABLES
-The Bulldogs rolled off four straight victories last weekend in the UNC Asheville Invitational. Asheville defeated The Citadel 3-1 last Friday night. Overall, the Bulldogs have won five matches in a row dating back to a September 4 victory over Montreat.
-Since 1994, Asheville is: 0-1 against North Florida, 0-1 against Wright State and 4-0 against The Citadel.
-Asheville is tops in the Big South Conference in blocks per set (2.42, No. 63 nationally). A pair of Bulldogs are the top two in the conference in blocks per set, with Madison Vaughn averaging 1.23/ per and Cameron Pryor averaging 1.19/per.
-Madison Vaughn's 14 service aces are the second-most in the BSC, while her .45/service aces per set average is the top mark in the conference.
