Bulldogs Make Short Trip to Tangle with Western Carolina

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville volleyball team makes the short trip to take on regional rival Western Carolina on Tuesday night. Both teams enter the match 1-2 overall after opening the season in weekend tournaments, with Western defeating Georgia State and the Bulldogs grabbing a victory over Davidson College.
NOTABLES
-Senior Christine Lakatos finished with 29 kills over three matches last weekend in the UNC Charlotte Invitational and was one of seven players named to the All-Tournament team.
-After the opening weekend, the Bulldogs are averaging 10.9 kills per set and are passing out 10.7 assist per set.
-Following their opening tournament at UNC Charlotte last weekend, Asheville has now started four of the last eight seasons 1-2 after their first three contests.
-Asheville is 12-10 all-time against Western Carolina, with their last win coming in Cullowhee during the 2013 season (3-0 Bulldogs victory).
