Bulldog Distance Teams Shine on Day One of Buccaneer Invite

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – The UNC Asheville indoor track and field teams traveled up to East Tennessee State University to compete for the second time this season, seeing the men and women's distance medley teams shine in day one action Friday.
In the women's distance medley, both the Bulldog 'A' and 'B' teams finished inside the top 8, as the 'A' group of Casey Greenwalt, Lauren Etheridge, Alyssa Lashway and Adrian Etheridge finished fourth with a time of 12:39.49, just off the top pace. The Asheville 'B' team of Maddie Lowe, Scarlett Beamon, Katie Gamble and Amy Castle finished eighth with their time of 13:01.31.
The Bulldog men's 'A' distance medley team of David Hager, Patrick Osborne, Chilton Birdwhistell and Ryan Catrine finished seventh overall with their time of 11:12.04.
Most of the Bulldogs will be in competition on Saturday, with action picking back up in the morning with the women's long jump at 8:30 a.m. and end with the 4x400-meter relays at 5 and 5:30 p.m. Live results will be available throughout the meet at TandFLive.com.
