QUOTABLES FROM HEAD COACH JESSE NORMAN
On the Track- “Overall, I'm pretty happy with our performances as a whole. Compared to years past, this year's squad is more than few steps ahead of where we usually start out at this point in the year. From top to bottom I'm really pleased with our performances. I think that comes from such great team chemistry, and some new testing we've implemented throughout our preseason.”
On the Break- “Going into the holiday break everyone will be re-gathering themselves and getting back into their training cycles. Our expectation as a coaching staff is for them to go home and work hard. We expect that they will hold each other accountable.”
On the Season- “I think both the men's and women's middle distance runners will be the foundation of our team this year. We have a crazy amount of depth. We also have more athletes in sprint events and field events then we've had in a while. I'm looking forward to what we can do this season.”
UP NEXT
Following this weekend's meet, Asheville men's and women's teams will compete at the East Tennessee State University Track & Field Invitational in Johnson City, TN on January 15th and 16th.
