ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville volleyball team returns home to the Justice Center for a Big South Conference weekend doubleheader against Winthrop and Presbyterian. Friday night's match against Winthrop will be a Pink Out in support of breast cancer awareness.
NOTABLES
-As a team, the Bulldogs are second in the Big South in Blocks per Set (2.37/per) behind Winthrop's 2.48 average. Asheville ranks 67th in the country in Blocks per Set.
-Junior Madison Vaughn leads the Big South in Blocks per Set (1.28/per) and is ranked No. 44 nationally in that category. Vaughn's 69 total blocks is the second-most in the BSC and rank No. 90 in the country.
-Senior Bryn Pfeiffer enters the weekend ranked 19th nationally in Digs per Set (5.16/per) and is ranked third in the Big South in that category. Pfeiffer's 284 total digs to date is the fourth-most in the BSC and is 75th nationally.
-Since 1994, Asheville is: 17-27 against Winthrop and 10-4 against Presbyterian. The Bulldogs split the season series 1-1 with both teams last season.
