Cross Country Alters Schedule Due to Rain-Filled Forecast
10.02.2015 | Cross Country
ASHEVILLE, N.C. – UNC Asheville cross country head coach Jesse Norman announced Friday the Bulldogs will not be traveling to participate in the USC Upstate Invitational/Big South Preview on Saturday morning due to inclement weather.
The USC Upstate Invitational is still scheduled to take place, but Asheville, along with many of the other Big South Conference schools, will not make the trip with the threat of poor weather conditions this weekend. The race was originally slated to feature 32 total teams and roughly 600 runners across both the men's and women's races.
The cross country programs are the latest teams to see their schedule effected by the continual precipitaion. Both the men's and women's teams will now prepare for their next scheduled race, Pre-Nationals, on October 17 hosted by the University of Louisville.
