Bulldog Track and Field Begins at Hilton Garden on Friday

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The UNC Asheville men's and women's indoor track and field teams began action on Friday at the Hilton Garden Invitational.
The meet is being held at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem.
Highlighting the women's team was the Asheville DMR A team finishing ninth in a tough field. The quartet of Alyssa Lashway, Zoe Hickey, Lauren Etheridge and Katie Gamble posted a time of 13:05.18.
Erin Dalton competed in the 3,000 meters and had a time of 10:22.14. Kelsie Rubiso ran the 800 meters in a time of 2:20.34.
Kassandra Pierre posted a time of 1:00.01 in the 400 meters.
Most of the events will take place on Saturday with action beginning at 9 a.m. with the shot-put competition.
