ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville women's swimming team is back in action this afternoon when the Bulldogs participate in a tri-meet at Lenoir-Rhyne College starting at 2 p.m. Queens University will also swim in the meet.
Asheville has had the past two weeks off after the Bulldogs trained in Florida for a week and participated in the Shark Invitational at Nova Southeastern in Fort Lauderdale.
Today's meet will have Asheville competing only against Lenoir-Rhyne. No score will be kept between the Bulldogs and Queens.
“We're looking forward to getting back into the water and competing again,” stated Asheville coach Elizabeth Lykins. “We had a great week in Florida and really showed progress during our training. Hopefully, we'll put that to good use today.”
The Bulldogs continue their 2015 schedule next Saturday (Jan. 10) afternoon when they travel to Greensboro for a tri-meet with Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association opponents, North Carolina A&T and North Florida.
Asheville's final home meet comes on Saturday, Jan. 31 when the Bulldogs host North Carolina A&T starting at Noon.
