ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville Track and Field squads will have their first meet in 2015 on Saturday when the Bulldogs travel to Winston-Salem to take part in the Wake Forest Invitational that will be held at the JDL Fast Track.
This will be the Bulldogs second meet in the indoor season. Asheville opened the indoor season here last month. The meet begins with field events starting at 9:30 a.m.
Asheville coach Jesse Norman is anxious to see how his team does in the first meet of 2015.
“We're not bringing everybody on Saturday, but we will have the majority of our team competing,” stated Norman. “Hopefully, everybody has worked hard over the holidays and will be in good shape when we start competing. This is a great meet against some very good competition that will be a good gauge to see where we are at this point of the year.”
The Bulldogs had some good results here last month.
