Andy Thornburg Named Big South Runner of the Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – UNC Asheville junior Andy Thornburg has been named as the Big South Conference's Runner of the Week after a standout performance this past Saturday over the 8K course.

 

Thornburg was the top runner for UNC Asheville at the Asheville Cross Country Carnival, as he tied his personal best of 26:03, which was 18th overall. He led the men's team to a third place showing behind Alabama and Western Carolina. The finish came after taking a week off due to a foot injury.

 

The Bulldog harriers are back in action on Saturday, Oct. 4 at the USC Upstate Invitational in Spartanburg, S.C.
