Fischer Named to All-Tournament Team at Georgia

ATHENS, Ga. – UNC Asheville junior Catherine Fischer earned All-Tournament honors this weekend at the Benson Hospitality Invitational for the Bulldog volleyball team.

 

Asheville battled hard in the weekend tournament but lost to three great teams in Georgia, N.C. State and Harvard.

 

Fischer led the Bulldogs in kills in two of the matches this weekend. She had 20 kills with just four errors in 47 swings. Fischer hit .340 for the weekend's tourney.

 

Asheville plays its first home match of the 2014 season when the Bulldogs host Western Carolina at Justice Center Tuesday (Sept. 16) night at 7 p.m.
