The College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) has announced that the UNC Asheville women's swim program is a CSCAA Scholar All-American team for the spring semester.
The CSCAA presents Team Scholar All American awards to college and university swimming teams who have achieved a cumulative grade-point-average of 3.00 or higher for a semester.
The Bulldogs finished the spring semester with a 3.12 GPA. It marked the fourth straight semester that the Asheville club has been honored.
"I am proud of our team for working hard in the classroom and the pool. Continually being named a CSCAA Scholar All-America Team encourages our student-athletes to maintain high standards for their course work,” stated head coach Elizabeth Lykins. “We constantly strive to be ranked among the top Division I teams in the country for our academic successes."
"I would also like to thank our Director of Student-Athletes Services and Affairs, Rebecca Keil for all of her academic assistance with my team,” added Lykins. “She was an integral part in our receipt of this honor.”
