Today's Throwback Thursday photo is of former Bulldog men's soccer standout Ulrich Dietrch. This is a photo of him from the 1983 season.



Ulrich played for Asheville from 1981-84 and helped lead the Bulldogs to the 1984 NAIA District 26 championship game. He was an All-South selection as a midfielder for three straight years.

 

Ulrich was the first soccer player to ever be inducted into the UNC Asheville Athletics Hall of Fame when he was inducted in 2005.
