Women's Swimming at Georgia Southern on Saturday

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville women's swimming team is in action on Saturday when the Bulldogs travel to Georgia Southern for a 1 p.m. meet.
Asheville looks (1-3) looks for its second win of the season on Saturday. The Bulldogs fell in a tri-meet two weeks ago to Gardner-Webb and Marshall. Georgia Southern is 1-2 on the year and coming off a 141-121 victory over Campbell on Oct. 25.
“We are excited to race this weekend again,” stated Bulldog coach Elizabeth Lykins. “The team has been working hard and is prepared for some strong competition.”
Asheville had some highlights during the tri-meet on Oct. 26 at Justice Center Pool. The Bulldogs opened the day by winning the 200 medley relay. The quartet of Emily Werth, Alessandra Troncoso, Alexandra Van Dorsten and Ashley Ireland captured the event with a time of 1:51.33.
Troncoso took second in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:08.79. Ireland finished a strong weekend with a second-place finish in the 50 freestyle as she posted a mark of 24.98.
