Dan Jackson Named Big South Defensive Player of the Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (BigSouthSports.com) – UNC Asheville senior goalkeeper Dan Jackson (Chapel Hill, N.C.) is the Big South Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for games played the final week of the regular season, the conference announced today.
Jackson earned two shutouts and made 15 saves in two road victories. He blanked Presbyterian on Wednesday, recording six saves in the 1-0 win. On Saturday at Campbell, he stopped nine shots and helped the Bulldogs earn the No. 6 seed in the Big South Men's Soccer Championship. The honor is Jackson's second this season. He also won the award on Oct. 20.
Jackson leads the nation in saves per match with a 7.00 per game average. He has not allowed a goal in the last 345 minutes of play. The Chapel Hill native has posted three straight shutouts.
