Women's Swimming Takes 7th at All North Carolina Invitational

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Asheville women's swimming team enjoyed a solid opening weekend with a seventh-place finish at the All North Carolina Invitational at the Greensboro Aquatic Center.
Asheville scored 515 points in the meet and recorded its highest finish ever at the All North Carolina Invitational.
"The team did a great job working working through all three sessions of the meet this weekend," stated Bulldog coach Elizabeth Lykins. "It was a learning experience to have so many races in such a short time period and they handled it well."
Highlighting the Bulldogs performance on Saturday was Galen Broido. She took fourth in the 1,650 freestyle with a time of 17:48.62.
Freshman Emily Werth scored points for the Blue & White with an 11th place finish in the 100 backstroke as she posted a time of 1:00.67.
Allesandra Troncoso came in 18th in a strong field in the 100 breaststroke as she had a time of 1:09.34.
The Bulldogs return home this weekend as they'll host Campbell at Justice Center Pool on Saturday, Oct. 11 at 10 a.m.
