Dan Jackson Leads the Nation in Saves Per Game

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – UNC Asheville senior goalkeeper Dan Jackson leads the nation is saves per game so far this season according to the latest NCAA statistics.
Jackson has a 7.10 per game average for saves and that places him first in the nation, just ahead of Alex Guerra of VMI (7.0).
He has posted 70 total saves on the season and that has him fourth nationally in that category. Dan was named Big South Defender of the Week yesterday after stopping nine Winthrop shots on Saturday as the Bulldogs played the #22-ranked Eagles to a 1-1 tie at Greenwood Field.
Jackson and the Bulldogs play next on Wednesday evening when they travel to Northern Kentucky for a 6 p.m. battle.
