Women's Distance Medley Team Dominate at Hilton Garden

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The UNC Asheville women's distance medley teams went 1-2 on the first day of the Hilton Garden Invitational on Friday.
The “B” team consisting of Amy Castle, Argia Gibson, Rachel Carson and Kylie Smith finished first with a time of 12:32.53.
The “A” team of Kelsie Rubino, Kassandra Pierre, Alyssa Lashway and Erin Dalton came in a close second at 12:33.25.
Gibson finished 11th in the triple jump at 11.37 meters.
On the men's side, Kurt Hibert took 16th in the shot put with a throw of 13.64 meters.
Action will begin again on Saturday at 9 p.m.
