Track and Field Begins Competition at ETSU

JOHNSON CITY, TENN. – The UNC Asheville men's and women's track and field teams began competition on Friday at the Niswonger Invitational at East Tennessee State.

 

Friday's highlights included a sixth-place finish by Kurt Hibert in the weight throw. He had a throw of 15.94 meters.

 

Argia Gibson placed 11th in the triple jump with a leap of 10.98 meters.

 

In the 5000 meters, Brent Schouler posted a time of 16:07.86. Jacob Fink ran in the race and had a time of 17:00.00

 

Action will begin tomorrow at 8 a.m.
