Women's Swim Falls at North Florida

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – North Florida won 13 of 16 events as the Ospreys downed the UNC Asheville women's swimming team 173-82 at UNF Sunday morning.
The Bulldogs (3-4) won three events on the day as three different Asheville swimmers claimed first place.
Ashley Ireland captured the 50 yard freestyle as she posted a time of 25.20 to win the event.
Freshman Alexandra van Dorsten took first in the 100 freestyle with a time of 55.68.
Senior Kristen Lawson came in first in the 200 backstroke. She won the event with a time of 2:16.93.
Asheville will have a few weeks off for Christmas break. The Bulldogs will swim again on Saturday, Jan. 4 when they swim at Lenoir-Rhyne.
