BUIES CREEK, N.C. – The UNC Asheville women's swimming team picked up its first win of the season with a 185-61 victory over North Carolina A&T in a tri-meet at Campbell Saturday afternoon.
The Camels won over the Bulldogs (1-1) 166-86 to put Asheville's record at 1-1 on the season.
Alessandra Troncoso led the way for the Blue & White as she posted victories in the 100 & 200 breaststroke. Those were the only races that Campbell did not win on the day when a Lady Camel was in an event. Troncoso captured the 100 in a time of 1:08.41 and the 200 with a time of 2:27.12.
She also won the 200 individual medley against North Carolina A&T with a time of 2:16.63.

“I'm happy with today's meet in Buies Creek. It's good to get our first win of the season against NCA&T,” stated Bulldog coach Elizabeth Lykins. “Congratulations to Alessandra Troncoso for two excellent races and wins in the 100 & 200 breaststroke.
“Our team had an excellent attitude and really good efforts today,” added Lykins.
