Ristic Sets School Record & Takes 2nd in Hurdles at Chapel Hill

Ristic Finishes 1st in 60-Meters Qualifying

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. - Sophomore sprinter Milan Ristic qualified for the finals of the 60-meter hurdles with a first-place finish Friday on the first day of the Niswonger Invitational at East Tennessee State.

Ristic had the best time of more than 40 runners with a time of 8.11. He'll run in the finals on Saturday.

He also qualified for the finals of 200 meters with a time of 21.99. The time is a new school record.  

On the women's side, Sarah Gentry finished in second place in the 800 meters with a time of 2:15. The 2:15 is a new school record.

Meredith Foster came in fifth in the high jump as she had a jump of 1.58 meters.

Sam Maynard competed in the 800 meters and finished with a time of 2:00.

The majority of the meet will take place on Saturday.
