Bulldog Volleyball at N.C. Central Tonight

Asheville (5-6) will open Big South Conference play on Friday at home against Gardner-Webb. The Bulldogs have not played since a four-set loss to Western Carolina last Tuesday night in Cullowhee.
"We didn't play badly against Western Carolina and played pretty well in spurts against a tough team on the road," commented first-year coach Frederico Santos. "Unfortunately, Western Carolina was able to get some key points at the right time that was able to get them a victory."
Asheville plays a winless North Carolina Central (0-10) club tonight but Santos believes the Eagles are quite dangerous.
"North Carolina Central has been it most of its matches but just come up a play or two short," admitted Santos. "We need to be ready to play at our best because any road match is a tough match."
Santos and the Bulldogs are looking forward to playing their first home match on Friday against Gardner-Webb.
"We have been on the road for the whole season and it will be great to finally play in front of our fans on Friday night," stated Santos. "The Justice Center is a great home-court and I'm anxious for us to play there again."
