Miller & Foster Earn All-Tournament Honors

CHATTANOOGA, TENN. - UNC Asheville senior outside hitter Cindi Miller and sophomore blocker Meredith Foster were named to the Country Inns & Suites All-Tournament Team on Saturday following the completion of the tournament at UT-Chattanooga.

The Bulldogs went 2-1 in the tourney. They fell to ETSU on Friday in the first match of the tourney in three close sets but knocked off Tennessee Tech later in the day, 3-0. On Saturday, Asheville upended the Mocs, 3-1.

Miller enjoyed two double-doubles on the weekend. She had 12 kills and 12 digs against ETSU and then posted 16 kills and 14 digs vs. Chattanooga. Miller added 15 kills and seven digs on Friday against Tennessee Tech.

Foster notched 14 kills and two blocks vs. Chattanooga. She had nine kills and a match-high six blocks vs. Tennessee Tech. The former West Henderson standout had three blocks vs. ETSU.

Asheville (5-5) plays at Western Carolina Tuesday night at 7 p.m.
