Ristic Honored by Big South Conference

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (www.BigSouthSports.com) - UNC Asheville's Milan Ristic has been named the Big South Conference Choice Hotels Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week, the League announced today.

 Ristic, a sophomore from Belgrade, Serbia, turned in a school record time of 7.47 to win the 55-meter hurdles at the Appalachian State Invitational over the weekend.  He picked up the win at a regionally strong field that included runners from South Carolina.

"Milan did a great job at Appalachian State on Saturday," commented Bulldog coach Jesse Norman. "He worked hard over the summer to improve. We believe he's going to have a big season for us both in indoor and outdoor."
