Men's & Women's Track and Field Squads to Compete at ASU in 2nd Meet of Year

01.15.2011 | Track and Field

BOONE, N.C. - The UNC Asheville men's and women's Indoor Track and Field squads are competing today at the Appalachian Open held at the Holmes Center on the campus of Appalachian State University.

It is the second meet of the year for both Bulldog teams and the first one in 2011. Asheville opened the track and field season at Appalachian State last month (Dec. 4).

"We'll have most of our squad competing," commented Asheville coach Jesse Norman. "It's been a bit of a challenge this week with all the snow we've had and the first week of school. However, everyone has worked hard and kept up their training. We're anxious to see how much improvement we've done since last month."

The Bulldogs will have the services of just about everybody with the exception of senior sprinter Natalie Pearson who will sit this meet out.
