Men's Exhibition Match vs. ASU Moved to Memorial Stadium on Aug. 28

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The UNC Asheville men's soccer team's home exhibition match with Appalachian State has a new date and a new location. The Bulldogs will face the Mountaineers on Saturday, August 28 at Memorial Stadium in downtown Asheville starting at 7:30 p.m. Admission will be free.
The match will take place the same day as the Riverside Summer Shootout Youth Soccer Tournament will be going on in Asheville. More than 160 youth teams will be playing soccer in the Asheville area and will be on hand for the exhibition match. After the match, both the Bulldogs men's and women's soccer team will be signing autographs along with the ASU team.
"We're really looking forward to this exhibition match at Memorial Stadium," stated first-year Asheville coach Matt Kern. "We're grateful to the City of Asheville and ABYSA for working with us to make this happen. This should be a great soccer atmosphere."
