Five Bulldogs Compete at Georgia Tech

ATLANTA, GA - Five members of the UNC Asheville track and field teams competed at the Georgia Tech Invitational this past weekend.
On the men's side, sophomore Sam Maynard led the way for the Bulldog men. He finished 10th in the 800 meters with a season's best time of 1:51.08. Fellow teammate, Eli Chirchir took 37th overall with a season's best time of 1:53.32.
Freshman Melanie Kulesz led the way on the women's side. She finished 12th in the 5000 meter run with a time of 18:14.16.
Speedster Natalie Pearson finished 14th in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.05 into a headwind. Pearson also took 16th in the 100 with a time of 11.81.
Alysha Kalmeijer finished 42nd in the 1500 meter run with a time of 4:59.18. Kalmeijer also took 51st in the 800 with a time of 2:22.30.
