Natalie Pearson Honored by Big South Conference

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (www.BigSouthSports.com) - Liberty redshirt-junior Sam Chelanga (Nairobi, Kenya) and UNC Asheville senior Natalie Pearson (Sheffield, England) have been named the Big South Conference Choice Hotels Men's and Women's Track & Field Athletes of the Week, respectively, it was announced today by the Conference office.  
 
At the Coastal Carolina Invitational, Pearson won the 200-meter dash with a school-record time of 24.01, which is the fastest time in the nation this season.  She defeated more than 80 runners that participated in the event last weekend in Conway.
