Dear Asheville Volleyball:
I will remember my experiences here for the rest of my life. It was never easy, but it was extremely rewarding. Thank you for bringing me into this wonderful program. Although I am riding into the sunset without a championship ring on my finger, my senior season was by far my favorite of them all. We were able to do things that our team last year-the regular season champs-could not. We beat Coastal. We won at Charleston Southern. We had true team chemistry, a bond that no one could break. A perfect conference tournament was the only thing to elude us. I know that the Asheville teams to come will be able to get to the bottom of our tournament enigma and place a white banner up in the Justice Center.
The time has come to remove my name plate from my locker and hang up my jersey. It is someone else's turn to sit there as a kid learning and growing through sport. Despite its bittersweet end, I will love my volleyball family forever.
