QUESTION: What is a good way to tell your opponent "I bested you"? In a joking way like it's the funniest thing you've ever heard?
In a letter?
In your Facebook status?
In their face?
RESPONSE: "I bested you" is a lot like "I told you so." Although it may be very tempting to blurt out, no one really wants to hear that. We have all said it in one way or another during a moment of weakness; sometimes an opponent can bring out the worst in you. However, the only positive illustration of "I bested you" lies in performance. If your team plays well enough to earn the win, the final score speaks for itself. After all, the crowd loves to chant "SCOREBOARD, SCOREBOARD, SCOREBOARD!" Don't they?
