Dig PinkWith the month of October designated as National Breast Cancer Awareness month, head coach Julie Torbett and the UNC Asheville volleyball team will once again team up with the Side-Out Foundation to battle breast cancer. The Bulldogs have designated their home match on Saturday, Oct. 24 against Radford as UNC Asheville's "Dig Pink" match. Individual sponsors can pledge money per Bulldog kill, block, assist, service ace and dig earned by the Bulldogs during the match by filling out a pledge sheet or can make a flat donation for the cause online. The money raised by the team will go directly to The Side-Out Foundation, a volleyball consortium, dedicated to supporting health care professionals in their pursuit of practical solutions for women and men with this dreaded disease thus enabling those affected to regain control of their lives and living them to the fullest.
