Bulldogs Defeat Providence; Fall to Wofford

The Bulldogs (11-5) defeated Providence in four sets to begin the day and then fell to Wofford (11-2) 25-16, 25-13, 30-28. Miotto had her second 30-dig match of the season as she had 30 digs against the Terriers. Ficker led the Dogs offensively with eight kills while Cindi Miller and Jenna Dover each had seven kills.
"I am pleased with the way we played this weekend," said head coach Julie Torbett. "We continue to play hard while players are overcoming injuries. We are not at the top of our game yet but we are playing well and gaining confidence."
The Bulldogs begin Big South Conference play on Tuesday, Sept. 22, as they host Gardner-Webb at the Justice Center. The 7 p.m. match will be broadcast live on the Big South Network beginning at 6:50 p.m.
