Pearson Gains Experience at UK Trials

Pearson to Run at NCAA East Regional on Friday

ASHEVILLE, N.C. ? UNC Asheville junior sprinter Natalie Pearson will head to Greensboro today to take part in the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field East Regional that will take place at the Irwin Belk Track on the campus of North Carolina A&T from May 29-30.

 

Pearson is scheduled to run in the 100 meters on Friday at approximately 6 p.m. If she qualifies for the finals, Pearson would run on Saturday at 6 p.m.

 

She ran a personal best of 11.74 in the 100 and qualified for the East Regional at the Orange and Purple Classic at Clemson on May 9.

 

During the indoor and outdoor season, Pearson won six different sprint races, finished second twice and third four different times. She was named UNC Asheville's Female Athlete of the Year for the 2008-09 year last month.
