ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The UNC Asheville men's soccer team begins a four-game road trip at Big South Conference foe Radford Saturday night at Cupp Stadium beginning at 7 p.m.

The Bulldogs (4-6-2, 0-1-1 BSC) are coming off a 2-2 tie with Presbyterian on Tuesday afternoon. Asheville fell behind 2-0 before rallying for two goals in the second half. Goals by Zachary Odum and Jake Hagedorn allowed the Bulldogs to get a point.

"We're not satisfied with a tie but it certainly is better than a loss," admitted Asheville coach Steve Cornish. "I'm proud of the lads for battling back from some adversity to earn a point in the standings. However, we should have played better in the first half and not been down 2-0."

Asheville faces a Radford (3-5-1, 0-2-1 BSC) squad that was having a frustrating season until the Highlanders romped past Virginia Tech, 3-1 on Tuesday.  RU had not scored in six matches until the Highlanders performance against the Hokies.

"Radford is a good team and always has been," declared Cornish. "They had faced a pretty tough schedule and had some key injuries. However, they appear to be in fine shape after their great win over Virginia Tech. We must be at our best to have a chance at posting a result on Saturday."

The Bulldogs are 2-11-1 in Radford all-time and have dropped their last three meetings there.

NOTES - Asheville has only two home matches left and doesn't play at home again until Oct. 31 against Coastal Carolina...Hagedorn leads the Bulldogs in goals scored with three...Asheville has a college football-like schedule as its next three games are all on Saturday - Oct. 10 at Radford, Oct. 17 at VMI and Oct. 24 at Winthrop.
