ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The UNC Asheville volleyball team returns home Tuesday night to play its final non-conference match of the regular season when the Bulldogs host East Tennessee State at Justice Center starting at 7 p.m. The match can be seen via video-streaming for a small fee at www.bigsouthsports.com.

Asheville has won seven of its last eight matches and is in first place in the Big South Conference with an 18-6 overall record and 7-1 league mark. The Bulldogs split a pair of road matches last weekend with an important 3-1 victory at Winthrop Friday night and a tough 3-2 loss at Coastal Carolina Saturday afternoon.

"We played some good volleyball over the weekend," commented Asheville coach Julie Torbett. "The win at Winthrop was a great win for our program. It was a true team effort as everyone who played made a contribution.

"We battled hard at Coastal Carolina but just came up a bit short," added Torbett.

The Bulldogs turn their attention to an ETSU squad that is having a tough year with a 6-13 overall record. However, that record is very misleading according to Torbett.

"East Tennessee State will be a good test," explained Torbett. "They have played everyone close this season. We expect an extremely tough match with them tomorrow night."

Asheville returns to Big South Conference play this Saturday afternoon when the Bulldogs host Radford at Justice Center starting at 2 p.m.
