ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The UNC Asheville volleyball team gets back into Big South Conference play Friday night when the Bulldogs host Charleston Southern in a key league match at Justice Center starting at 7 p.m. The match will be video-streamed and can be seen for a small fee at www.uncabulldogs.com.

Asheville won a thriller in its last outing as the Bulldogs rallied past Radford in five sets last Friday night on the road. The victory improved Asheville's record to 13-5 overall and 2-0 in the league.

Julie Torbett's club will face a stiff challenge when the Lady Bucs invade Justice Center. CSU is 1-1 in league play and has a 9-7 overall record. The Buccaneers recently whipped College of Charleston in four sets and posted some impressive results in the first part of the season.

"Charleston Southern is a good team and is well-coached," stated Torbett. "They have some good non-conference wins and are gaining more and more confidence with each match."

Torbett was proud of her team's win at Radford.

"Radford played quite well but we did a nice job coming back and finding a way to win," declared Torbett. "We battled hard but that's what we're going to have to do in each match in conference play."
