Pearson Captures 200 Meters at Coastal Carolina Invitational

CHARLOTTE, N.C. ? Liberty's Daniel Newell and Natalie Pearson of UNC Asheville have been named the Big South Conference Choice Hotels Men's and Women's Indoor Track Athletes of the Week, respectively, the League announced today.

Pearson, a junior from Sheffield, England, finished first in two events over the weekend at the Liberty Invitational.  She kicked the meet off by winning the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.60, and followed with a time of 57.76 in the 400.  Her time in the 400 meters was the second-fastest time in UNC Asheville history.  Pearson currently sits atop the Big South Performance list in the 60-meter event.
