CHARLOTTE, N.C.?UNC Asheville junior libero Raquel Miotto has been named this week's Big South Libero of the Week as announced by the Conference office.
Miotto helped the Bulldogs to a 2-1 week and a second place finish at the Hilton/RTP NC State Classic over the weekend. The Sao Paulo, Brazil native posted 60 digs and 4.62 digs per set. She notched two 20-dig matches with 25 against William & Mary and 22 in Asheville's win over N.C. State. Miotto also chipped in 11 helpers and one kill in the three-match span.
Charleston Southern's Amanda Hill was named the Choice Hotels Player of the Week, while Kelsie Mauck from Coastal Carolina was tabbed the New Balance Freshman of the Week
Miotto and the Bulldogs will face Western Carolina on Tuesday in Cullowhee. The match begins at 7 p.m.
