ASHEVILLE, N.C. ? The UNC Asheville volleyball team will look to break a frustrating two-match losing streak Tuesday night at Justice Center when the Bulldogs host Big South Conference newcomer Presbyterian starting at 7 p.m. Admission is $5.

UNC Asheville (8-7, 0-2 BSC) has lost its first two league matches to High Point and Winthrop and both were in five games. Serving errors really hurt the Bulldogs in both matches. Asheville had 13 service errors in both matches.

“We can't give away points like we're doing with our service errors,” commented UNC Asheville coach Julie Torbett. “We're battling and doing a lot of good things on the floor but we can't give away points.”

Sophomore outside hitter Kelsey Benorden was a bright spot for the Bulldogs in defeat against Winthrop with 26 kills. Raquel Miotto finished with 27 digs. Sophomore Jenna Dover had a career-high 12 kills, while Heather Burns had eight blocks.

Presbyterian is 3-12 on the year with a 0-3 record in Big South Conference play. The teams split home victories last season. The match will be broadcast live on the Big South Edge for a small fee at www.bigsouthsports.com. Live stats will be available by clicking here
