TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - UNC Asheville could not find its attack game in a 30-11, 30-23, 30-22 loss at Florida State Saturday morning.
The Bulldogs (0-2) hit just .042 in the match as freshman Kelsey Benorden led the team with seven kills. Ashley Wrightenberry and Lauren Ficker had three kills each. Shannen Bagge led the team with five digs.
Florida State (1-0) had three hitters in double figures led by Mira Djuric with 19 kills. Bianna Berry and Makini Thompson each had 12 kills for the Seminoles. Summer Weissing added 12 digs.
Asheville will wrap up its first tournament of the season at 2 p.m. against Florida Gulf Coast.
