ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The UNC Asheville men's soccer team plays its first of three exhibition games Sunday afternoon at Davidson starting at 1 p.m.
The Bulldogs are coming off a 5-13 season but have most of their team back from last year. The Wildcats should be much better than last year's 5-13-1 season, as well.
"Davidson has an excellent program and will give our lads a very good test on Sunday," stated UNC Asheville coach Steve Cornish. "We have had some solid workouts this past week but it will be nice to be in a game situation."
Leading the way for UNC Asheville this season will be junior defender Edwin Wotortsi. He was a second team all-conference performer and earned a spot on the all-region team.
The Bulldogs play their only exhibition game at Greenwood Field Wednesday afternoon when they host King College at 5 p.m. Admission is free.
