Volleyball Finishes at Home Against Presbyterian

11.09.2007 | Women's Volleyball

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The UNC Asheville volleyball team will finish the regular season Saturday afternoon when the Bulldogs host future Big South Conference foe Presbyterian at Justice Center starting at 2 p.m.

The Bulldogs will honor senior blocker Ashley Wrightenberry on Saturday as she'll play her final home game. The Asheville native is second all-time at UNC Asheville in blocks and has enjoyed a great career.

Julie Torbett's club has won four of its last six matches and appear to have some momentum going into next week's Big South Conference Tournament at Liberty (Nov. 15-17). The Bulldogs rallied on Thursday night for a five-game win at USC Upstate.

"We're playing better and we're finding ways to win," commented Torbett. "Presbyterian will be a very good test for us on Saturday as they beat us down at their place in three games earlier this year."

The match can be seen for a small fee on www.uncabulldogs.com or www.bigsouthsports.com.

The pairings for next week's Big South Tournament will be announced on Sunday by the league office.
