LOUISVILLE. KY. - The UNC Asheville men's and women's cross country teams completed their 2007 seasons by competing at the Southeast Regional at Louisville Saturday morning.
The women's team took three runners, while the men's squad took two participants.
On the women's side, UNC Asheville senior runner Emily Mase topped the Bulldog effort as she finished in 78th place with a time of 22:08 over the 6K course. Senior Ingrid Allstaedt came in 108th at a time of 22:39. Sophomore Katie Olert finished with a time of 24:27.
"I was really proud of how everyone ran against some of the top runners in the country," said first-year coach Jesse Norman. "Everyone ran their best times of the years with Emily and Ingrid running the fourth and sixth best times in school history. This was a great way to end the season and we're quite excited about the future."
