CHARLOTTE, N.C. ? UNC Asheville's Andrew Burnette and Emily Mase have been named the Big South Conference Choice Hotels Men's and Women's Cross Country Runners of the Week, respectively, the League announced today.
Mase, a senior from Austin, Texas, posted a 4K time of 15:38 to finish first at the Gardner-Webb Invitational over the weekend. As a team, the Bulldogs finished first in the event.
Burnette, a junior from Marion, N.C., recorded a time of 20:51 to finish third in the 6K race and lead his Bulldogs to a second-place finish at the Gardner-Webb Invitational.
