UNC Asheville Has Two Make All-Conference in Men's Soccer

RADFORD, Va. - The Big South Conference today announced that UNC Asheville senior forward Barrett Locke and sophomore defender Edwin Wotortsi to the league's all-conference second team. The announcement of the awards were made at the league's awards banquet at Radford University Wednesday night.
Locke is UNC Asheville's leading scorer with six goals and 12 points. He is ninth on the school's all-time career list for goals with 23 goals. Locke started in 14 of Asheville's 17 matches this season. Two of his goals were game-winners, including two goals in a key 2-1 victory over league foe Radford.
Wotortsi is a transfer from Clemson who started all 17 matches for Asheville this year and helped solidify the Bulldogs defense. He helped the Asheville defense cut down its goals by 16 in 2005 and helped produce three shutouts.
Junior forward David Verga earned a spot on the Big South All-Academic team for men's soccer.
