Cross Country Squads Head to Big South Meet - UNC Asheville Bulldogs Official Athletics Site

CHARLESTON, S.C. - The UNC Asheville Men's and Women's Cross County squads will compete in the 2006 New Balance Big South Conference Cross Country Championships Presented by UCS will take place on Saturday at the Miler Country Club in Summerville, S.C. The women's race will start at 9:00am, followed by the men's race at 9:45.
The Bulldog harriers are looking forward to Saturday's race. Head Coach Dean Duncan hopes his team is peaking at the right time.
"We've had a pretty good year but Saturday is when we want to run our best," stated Duncan. "Overall, I've been pleased with both teams have improved throughout the season. We've got a lot of youth on the teams and this year is going to make us much better for the future."
The men's squad should be led by senior Jonathan Harmon, while the women's team will be led by junior Emily Mase. Both have been the top Bulldog runners for each one of their teams all season. They were both named Big South Runners of the Week two weeks ago for their performance at the Gardner-Webb Invitational on Oct. 6.
