ASHEVILLE, N.C. - UNC Asheville Athletics is happy to report that all of our student-athletes are safe and accounted for, while being able to live, practice at sister institutions and resume competition this weekend (Oct. 11-12).
"We are forever grateful to all of the institutions that have stepped up to house and feed our student-athletes while we navigate the ever-changing terrain of Hurricane Helene," said Cone. "We are excited to have our Bulldogs back in action on the playing surfaces this weekend."
The Bulldogs will be housed at the following institutions:
Men's/Women's Soccer, Volleyball and Men's/Women's Basketball - UNC Charlotte & Charlotte Area
For the foreseeable future, soccer matches will be played on the road, while USC Upstate has graciously offered to host home volleyball matches in Spartanburg.
Men's/Women's Cross Country - Wofford
The next scheduled event for Cross Country is the Upstate Invite in Spartanburg on Oct. 19.
Women's Swimming - Gardner-Webb
The next event on the schedule for the Bulldogs is a tri-meet at Davidson with VMI on Oct. 26.
Men's and Women's Tennis - High Point
The men are set to compete in two locations this week, with some going to the ITA Carolina Regionals hosted by Duke and others going to the Winston-Salem $15K Futures Event.
Baseball - UNC Greensboro
Track and Field - Emory & Henry
Women's Golf - Wofford
The Bulldog women's golf team will be in the Kiawah Island area for their next tournament.
